The Decentralized Gateway and Infrastructure for Web3.0

A more secure, private and fairer internet for everyone.

Deeper Network combines blockchain, network security, and sharing economy to create a global peer to peer network that empowers the real users of the internet and paves the way for the next generation of the web.

50,000+ Nodes in over 150+ countries

DPN (Decentralized Private Network)

Decentralized Private Network is a P2P decentralized bandwidth sharing network for bypassing censorships and ensuring privacy. The network is server-less and distributed; user data can never be logged, leaked, hacked, or subpoenaed. Each node operator is empowered to be both a client and a server; node operators earn mining rewards for contributing bandwidth to the network. Mining incentivization ensures the robustness of the network compared to traditional P2P networking models.

Decentralized Web

Deeper Network provides the foundational infrastructure services for Web 3.0 with Deeper’s decentralized DNS (dDNS) and Deeper’s decentralized CDN (dCDN). DNS is the architecture for resolving IP addresses and querying the Internet. Having a centralized DNS infrastructure makes the Internet extremely fragile, and prone to censorships and attacks. Decentralized DNS services help to make the Internet more democratic. CDN accelerates the web browsing experience by caching content in the cloud. Decentralized CDN allows faster edge access to cached content.

Decentralized Gateway and dAPP Store

Deeper’s hardware, Deeper Connect, is a decentralized gateway to Web 3.0. True decentralization means that no single entity can dominate over the entire network. Not only can Deeper Connect users securely access various decentralized network services provided by Deeper Network, but they can also seamlessly access various third-party dAPP applications, such as decentralized storage services in the Polkadot ecosystem or DeFi services. iPhone provided users with a mobile Web 2.0 gateway; Deeper Connect provides households around the world with a Web 3.0 gateway.

Decentralized Private Network - P2P Bandwidth Sharing

DPR tokens can be earned and spent via sharing or consuming bandwidth on the network.

Traditional P2P network models lack effective economic incentives, which leads to an imbalance between bandwidth usage and bandwidth consumption in practice. Compared to traditional P2P networks, DPR incentivizes users to actively contribute bandwidth to the network thus making the overall network more robust and performant for everyone.

Decentralized Cyber Security Services

Each Deeper node is a next-generation firewall (NGFW) serving to prevent network attacks via network scanning: overflow attacks, injection attacks, denial of service attacks, and so on.

DPR can be used to purchase Deeper nodes on-demand as a cloud firewall to hide their IP address and prevent various network attacks. Websites can be hosted on the Deeper Network infrastructure without needing to worry about being scanned, blocked, or attacked. DPR can also be used for AtomOS updates, threat database updates, and security subscription services. On the flip side, DPR tokens can also be earned for contributions to network security, such as discovering and reporting malicious behaviors on the network.

Decentralized Gateway Services and dAPP Store

Deeper is a platform provider for decentralized apps.

Third-party developers need to stake a certain amount of DPR tokens to have their dAPPs hosted within the Deeper ecosystem. At the same time, third-party dAPPs must be able to accept DPR as a means of payment for services.

Decentralized Web Services

Decentralized DNS help to make the Internet more democratic and prevent the open internet from being controlled or censored.

DPR can be used to purchase decentralized domain names anonymously on the Deeper chain. Domain owners will have complete ownership over it instead of leasing it through ICANN. Domain owners can also use DPR to obtain their own cryptographic keys for digital signatures, essentially eliminating the need for third-party CAs. DPR can be obtained for becoming resource providers on Deeper’s decentralized CDN network for providing faster edge access to cached content.

Token Distribution Schedule

  • Seed:

Unlocked after tier 1 CEX listing, then
    1) distributed evenly every month for 24 months or
    2) lock for another year + 24 months distribution

  • Public A,B:

30% at listing, 7% per month over 4 months. Remainder will be unlocked 3 months after CEX listing, distributed every 3 months in 4 distributions.

  • Private A,B:

15% at listing, 8.5% per month over 4 months, rest of the tokens will be unlocked 3 months after CEX listing, distributed every 3 months in 4 distributions.

  • Team:

Locked for 2 years after CEX listing, distributed evenly every month over 3 years.

  • Mining:

Unlocked via PoCr over 50 years.

AtomOS

The world’s first lock-free network operating system built with speed and security in mind. AtomOS uses zero-copy technology to read data packets directly from network devices for processing resulting in a tenfold increase in data packet forwarding speeds compared to traditional operating systems such as Linux and FreeBSD. AtomOS also provides a 7-layer firewall, performing deep high-speed filtering of data packets on generous hardware requirements.

Deeper Chain

Truly decentralized public blockchain implemented via the Substrate framework. The Deeper Chain is highly secure, highly efficient, whilst low on energy consumption. Deeper Chain is comprised of two layers. The top layer consists of hundreds of validator nodes and is secured by Deeper nodes; the bottom layer is called the Deeper layer, and it consists of peer-to-peer connected Deeper nodes. Mining rewards distributed to Deeper nodes for bandwidth sharing will lead to more participation and robustness of the network. This closed-loop increases the security of the whole network; Deeper's PoC consensus mechanism ensures the network is resistant to various common threats such as Sybil, Eclipse, and 51% attacks.

Proof of Credit

An innovative consensus mechanism that emulates the credit system in our daily life. It ensures true decentralization as every participant on the network is given an equal chance to contribute and earn rewards. PoC is similar to Proof of Stake, but a validator’s voting power depends on both staked tokens and delegated credit scores. It is whale resistant and prevents one class from dominating over another. PoC enables Deeper devices to mine DPR tokens via bandwidth sharing at extremely low computing resources. The Deeper Chain miner tops out at a slim 15 watts, which is significantly lower than traditional ASIC/GPU miners.

Trident Protocol

A decentralized, shared communications protocol based on the blockchain. It circumvents network censorship, secures data transmissions, maximizes the use of network bandwidth, and reduces delays in the data packet transmission process. This is achieved thanks to the efficient integration of network technologies such as intranet penetration, data encryption, protocol camouflage, and tunnel layer congestion control.

  • How can I prevent other users from using my IP address to do illegal activities?
    (i) Users have the option to disable bandwidth sharing.
(ii) DCM can recognize most internet protocols, users can choose to deny the dangerous ones. Remember DCM is also a Layer 7 firewall.
(iii) DCM can distinguish between the user's own connections and shared connections. If you didn't do something, DCM can prove it.
  • What is protecting me from other people on the network from attacking my device?
We will give users the option to reject dangerous connections such as BT. DCM uses a transparent mode, it only accepts connections from other DCMs, so there should not be any DDOS concerns.
  • Can I adjust the amount of bandwidth that I want to share?
We plan to add a QoS function to limit the sharing speed and increase the priority of your Internet speed.
  • When sharing my bandwidth, will my internet speed get slower?
No, your Internet speed will not get slower because you are only sharing your upstream bandwidth.
  • If I am the only user on the network, what kind of speed would I be looking at instead of the theoretical maximum?
We already have thousands of nodes around the world. We have also set up some cloud nodes around the world.
  • Can I do torrenting with a different IP address, but also refusing others to use my IP address for torrenting?
Deeper Network will provide some cloud DPN nodes which will allow all kinds of traffic in the future.
  • Could you please clarify “ No Logging of DPN” ?
Information is not stored in any server and we do not have access to it. You are the only person that has access to your information and in order to access it you need to connect to your device through AtomOS using your personal password. Even if the device is stolen physically, nobody will be able to access it, unless they know your password.
  • How do you achieve high speed connection?
Through our AtomOS lock-free networking operating system, advanced congestion control protocol, and Smart VPN routing.
  • How stable is your system? Will there be network interruptions as seen in other VPNs?
Compared to traditional VPNs that are supported by a centralized network (where taking down the central servers will paralyze the network), DPN is a decentralized network that will not have a Single Point Failure. DPN can also survive IP address blocking, port blocking, and pattern detection.
  • Why would I need an enterprise-level security device? For most PCs, and laptops, isn’t it enough to have an antivirus program and native protection provided by Windows or MacOS?
Enterprise level security will guarantee protection for all devices in your households or small businesses, particularly IoT devices that are normally overlooked.
  • But VPN services usually have hundreds of servers located across the globe which makes them effectively decentralized?
They can have thousands of servers, but at the end of the day all the servers are controlled by the VPN provider, that is what centralization means. They can sniff, sell, or leak your data. That is something impossible to do in a decentralized private network since there are no servers and no central authority in charge.
  • How is this device decentralized or what is the mechanism that is currently using to achieve decentralization?
Every device can share its bandwidth with other devices using DHT and blockchain to discover each other. This is something users can verify by themselves using our AtomOS interface.
  • What is the mechanism that protects users from becoming an exit node?
Users can disable some P2P protocol to prevent other nodes using its bandwidth to download unauthorized content. We use source portals to distinguish different types of traffic.
  • How many active nodes do you have and where are they located?
We have more than 13000+ nodes all over the world. They are in Asia, North America, and Europe.
